Last Friday, 1620 Media had the pleasure to attend The Collective LA, a conference dedicated to connecting top bloggers and brands in the world of fashion, food and travel. With the growing impact of digital media, everyone has the ability to share their story but it’s the quality of storytelling that separates the good from the great. Within the last minute of you reading this, there were 16 billion photos posted on Instagram and 300 hours of video content shared on Youtube. That’s a lot of content!
At 1620 Media, we’re committed to creating content worth watching. From our viral video featuring Walter and Julia’s story to showing you the best places to visit across the globe in Zane’s World, we do our best to make content that’s exciting, compelling and thoughtful. Being surrounded by the best content creators in Los Angeles at The Collective Conference inspired us to keep on creating!
Here are the most helpful tips we learned while connecting with the next generation of media:
- The average consumer’s attention span is 8 seconds
- Instagram Stories vs. Snapchat: Use Instagram Stories to highlight the best material on Snapchat. The more you can share the experience behind the story, the more viewers are engaged. Follow us @1620Media to keep up with the latest.
- It’s not about the medium, it’s about the message. What message are you sharing with your content? Does it tell a story?
- People Map is a helpful Instagram Marketing Tool to assist you understand who your audience is while scaling your efforts.
